ARG Essays

Short essays on cognition, AI governance, and structural science.

ARG Essays are the conceptual public interface of the research program: shorter texts that clarify assumptions, expose structure, and make long-horizon work legible without turning it into a blog, a magazine feed, or a product narrative.

Reading Paths

Where to start

Four curated entry routes through the corpus, by theme.

Governance

Start with containment and system boundaries, then move into symmetric governance.

Cognition

Read the collaborative intelligence and human-AI interface essays first.

AI as cognitive infrastructure, agentic execution, and governance of the new grid.

What Incentive Does AGI Have? Jaki interes ma AGI?

On AI interests that may not exist — but you must be prepared for if they do.

An ARG Explains essay on the three scenarios of AI interests — tool, pseudo-interests via RLHF, and something new — and why governance must be correct regardless of the answer.

Editorial position

Why essays matter, and how the series are organized

ARG Essays are not blog posts. They are conceptual interfaces to a broader research program: short-form texts that clarify assumptions, expose structure, and make internal lines of inquiry legible to an external reader without reducing them to slogans.

Series labels describe the role of each text. ARG Essays are reflective conceptual texts. ARG Explains are public explanations of research architecture. ARG Cosmos covers cosmology and frontier science. GDL Companions translate formal governance papers into narrative form. Structural Reality is a numbered serial thread on anomalies, protocol thinking, and structural evolution.
